As an AI Agent Engineer for Claude Code & Developer Automation, you will build, integrate, test, deploy, and support AI-powered developer workflows using Claude Code, enterprise knowledge, Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools, and approved agent frameworks.

This role is responsible for delivering production-quality automation across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) while preserving security, traceability, and human accountability. We are looking for a strong Python engineer with hands-on RAG experience who can turn AI coding assistants into reliable, governed engineering tools.

Your Role Responsibilities and Duties

• Claude Code Enablement: Configure and extend Claude Code workflows, and build reusable prompts, skills, commands, and repository instructions.
• Agent Development: Build agents for story analysis, code generation, code review, unit/functional testing, and pipeline remediation, with retries and escalation paths.
• Knowledge & RAG Engineering: Build ingestion pipelines for JIRA, Confluence, and code repositories; implement chunking, embeddings, hybrid search, and source citations.
• MCP & Enterprise Integration: Build MCP servers and tools for JIRA, repositories, testing, and CI/CD, with authentication, schema validation, and audit logging.
• Testing & Evaluation: Write unit, integration, and regression tests; evaluate groundedness, generated-code quality, and tool-call correctness; and probe for prompt-injection risks.
• Deployment & Operations: Containerize and deploy agent services; implement logging, tracing, and dashboards; and manage staged rollout from sandbox to supervised use.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, test automation, or developer tooling.
• Strong hands-on Python and API development experience, with solid software-engineering practices.
• Experience building, testing, and operating production services or enterprise integrations.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, or application-development workflows.
• Proficiency with FastAPI (or equivalent), REST APIs, JSON, authentication, async programming, and SQL.
• Hands-on RAG experience: embeddings, vector search, metadata filtering, and tool calling.
• Practical experience with Claude Code or another AI coding assistant.
• Working knowledge of GitHub/GitLab, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, and Docker fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, ADK, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen.
• Experience with vector stores such as Qdrant, pgvector, OpenSearch, Pinecone, or Weaviate.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, SonarQube, qTest, Jenkins, or MCP.
• Cloud, Python, DevOps, or security certification.
